What You Need To Know: In Brief:
- I have been working with potato as a medium for sculpture over the past several years.
- For a number of reasons, despite it being ill-suited for the task,
I have been trying to make potato the predominant and key material in a range of sculpture / objects.
- These should be reasonably durable and produced by a range of techniques. (cut and assembled, pressed, moulded, dried, glued, painted, polished etc..)
- There has been an inherent futility in the work up to now... but I'm keen to push on. Certainly potato is unlikely to become commercially viable construction material, but maybe a wider field of experience will throw up some answers that will work on my scale.
